Installation on Windows and macOS

Packages for Windows and macOS. Both install a self-contained application; no runtime needs to be present.

An Inno Setup package (InvoiceflairDesktopSetup-<version>.exe), default directory C:\Program Files\Invoiceflair\Desktop, a wizard in nine languages, an optional desktop shortcut.

An app bundle plus a PKG installation package, for Apple silicon (osx-arm64) and Intel (osx-x64), installing to /Applications.

  • What is shipped is a publish folder, not a single file. A single file unpacks itself to %TEMP% on start, and that is precisely what domain policies such as AppLocker forbid on customer systems.
  • The eight language satellites must be in the package. The build scripts check this and abort otherwise — without that check, a single-language package would only surface at the customer, and there as “the translation is missing” rather than as a build fault.
  • The application writes nothing next to the program files. What it retains sits in the user profile: settings and the licence in settings.json, the folder sync journal in the SQLite file beside it.

Then a boot-crash.log sits in the same folder as the settings — the first file to look at.

Next, activate the licence — online once, after which everything runs offline.
