Deleting the account (GDPR)
Deletion sits on the start page of “My area” and requires an explicit confirmation tick. What happens then depends on whether you are alone on the tenant.
The three cases
Section titled “The three cases”| Situation | Effect |
|---|---|
| A tenant where you are the only member | it is removed entirely — archive, master data, templates, invitations, API keys and the tenant’s file directory |
| A tenant with other members, and you are a member or not the last owner | only your membership is removed; the tenant remains |
| A tenant with other members, and you are the last owner | deletion is refused — transfer ownership first |
Open sign-in tokens and invitations to your address are deleted along with it. The session ends immediately afterwards.
If you only want to step away
Section titled “If you only want to step away”Then you need no deletion: an owner can remove you as a member, or you make someone else the owner and afterwards delete only your own membership. Either way the tenant and its archive remain. See Members and roles.
